Highways.

Highways are roads leading to all major points in the 2Beta2T world directly from spawn. They exist in both the overworld and the Nether. There are screenshots showing that in the overworld, roads were once 1 block wide and composed of bedrock (possibly built by FCG), which is an illegal item.

As of autumn 2025, roads are actively breaking down, meaning you won't find even a hint of a highway within 50 blocks of 0, 0. The situation is better in the Nether, where the highways are relatively intact.
